THESE LESSONS CAN HELP YOU TOO. Rafael Nadal is a Spanish tennis player who has won 13 grand slams titles. What made him unique is because he is regarded as a one turf player who found it difficult to win on other surfaces, like the grass surface of Wimbledon and the hard court of the US open. Through dint of hard work he rose above these limitations to be champion on all surfaces. Here are the lessons I learned from following his career, his struggles through injuries and his never say die attitude to the game. HE IS ALWAYS COMMITED TO HARDWORK.

At this stage the tennis world has all but given up about his return to tennis. But like it is often said champions are born. After the layoff he took to the court and practice hard to get into shape and back to fitness while at the same time praying the knees would not pack up again. The wonder boy came back to win an unprecedented ATP tour titles. He came back on tour and won at Madrid, Rome, Montreal and Cincinnati Masters as well as winning the French and US open. He spent many hours on the practice court trying to master his frailties’ and weaknesses.

Anybody who would spend a great many hours at any thing is sure to certainly be better at what he does. To date Rafael has won a total of 69 single titles in 98 tournaments. LESSONS: We all can not be a Rafael Nadal, but if we do our best and always be our best. The law of average would be on our side. We can achieve most, if not all of our dreams. Rafael Nadal knows that failure comes with the territory. In life if you want to be truly great you must learn to handle failure and adversity in strides. Rafa, as he is popularly called has had many successes on clay court but none on the other surfaces like the hard court of the Australian and US open as well as the grass court of Wimbledon.

For a long time he fought hard to win at the other surfaces, but each time coming out as runner up. After a lot of loses on those surfaces he learned a thing or two. Perhaps Rafa knows what majority of us does not know about failure. Once, he lost a match against a lower rank opponent due to injury. Other players would have blamed the injury for losing against a number 100 rank player, but not Nadal. He congratulated his victor and told the press that he (the opponent) was a better player in the match. With an attitude like this he was forced to go back and work harder. Most times when we fail we put the blame on others because we don’t want to hurt out ego.

LESSON: Winners never quits and quitters never win. When faced with failures strive to learn from the failure and consistently find way to improve. Rafael Nadal’s Passion for the game of tennis is terrific, that is why he is a champion. It’s only passion that would get an injury prone player like Nadal to keep coming back after each layoff. Ordinarily, it is difficult to keep playing tournaments when you know you will eventually lose because a particular surface is not your domain or certain turf can increase your chances of been injured. His passion kept him plugging on and playing for the love of the game rather than the money, until he learned what works and eventually become a master of all the surfaces.

If you have a passion for what you do, it can take you far in your career and you can beat those regarded as talented or gifted. At the 2014 Wimbledon finals against Switzerland’s Stanislas Wamrinka, He sustained a back injury as the match was in progress, any lesser person would have quitted after realizing he doesn’t stand a chance to win at the Rod liver arena. His passion for the game and sense of responsibility to the Australian spectators would not allow him quit. They deserve to see a good final. He endured the pain and played to the end of the match which he lost to a player that has never taken a set against him. LESSON: When you have the passion for what you do the most hardest task would look like play every time. Rafael Nadal relaxes a great deal when he is not on tour.

He knew that relaxation is vital if he must continue to play at the top level of his game. He is an avid lover of football and golf which he plays from time to time when he needs to relax. He also relaxes on the beach a lot with his childhood sweetheart. LESSON: All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Find time in your busy schedule to relax. Relaxation helps to replenish your physical energy as well as creative energy. Rafael Nadal is heavily involved in giving back to life. He has some many charities, including the Rafael Nadal’s children charity foundation in Barcelona Spain and the Rafael Nadal tennis school at Anantpur, India. Aware of the social disadvantage young Spaniards faced , he hopes to make a difference in their lives, by setting up a program to teach them new skills, including education and social programs. ’’We offer educational programs using sport as a tool for personal and social integration, passing on values, such as effort, self improvement and respect in order to encourage their self-esteem and confidence’’ says Nadal. The Rafael Nadal tennis school in India host district, state and national-level tournaments, as well as lay equal emphasis on the children’s education and tennis training. He was a recipient of the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian award as recognition for his humanitarian efforts. LESSON: Always find a way to give back to life when life has blessed you. When you give you will receive.

Rather, just learn at a natural pace.

Doing this will let you feel more comfortable with learning. If you learn at a slower pace, when you're trying to speak with people in their language they'll show more patience toward you. Try to make yourself think in Spanish as much as possible. It may not be easy when you first try, but take any thoughts you can and turn them into Spanish. Take your time and learn how to do this at your own pace.

Of course, you also want to say some of these thoughts out loud, so your ability to speak improves as well. And remember that practice makes perfect. Even if you feel shy you practice speaking as much as possible. You can help to commit to memory new words if you use them in place of the appropriate words in your native tongue.

For Spanish, replace "one" with "uno" and "dinner" with "cena." If you practice this, the new language words will feel quite natural for you. Later on, I came to the room, wrote an answer, and then went to the workshop building to complete the task of cutting composites. We had a TQM, and a Cad/Cam/Cae class, and meanwhile, I was having a heated up conversation with my business partner. I don’t really sometimes, understand what do people think of business at times? I mean, we should be sane enough to understand the difference between personal and professional parts of our lives.

Today, the lunch was great, marvelous, and then I came to the room, was thinking of taking a nap, but got disturbed with the calls and messages. I really, don’t like it most of the times, and the again one more heated up conversation with the people, who don’t understand a basic principle of paying for the services used. I mean, You should not delay anyone’s payment more than his ability to withstand it. I woke up at 5, got fresh, went to the gym, and did 108 Suryanamaskaram, and then came to the room, to relax for a while.

After taking a shower, and getting ready, I got into the chair, ate a laddu, read some news and then was doing something that I don’t remember right now. Such a weak memory. I think I’m the person in the corridor who holds the record of visiting the washroom most, and I don’t understand why others don’t visit it often. I read some PPTs of Economics. I think it’s really a wonderful thing that an Mechanical Engineer is reading Economics. At 8, I went down for dinner. After dinner, the night routine continued. And I just have realized after talking to her that I’m exposed. I’m dumber than I think of myself to be. It’s not a good thing.

Happy Republic Day is the message I started receiving on WhatsApp as soon as it’s 12 am. Yes, we must celebrate it like our religious festivals. Last night, I was reading the book, and it got almost 1:30, when I finally, got into the bed and fortunately, slept without any strange dream. I woke up at around 6:30, went to the bathroom to get fresh, came to the room, got into the chair and decided to write something, but of course, I couldn’t I don’t know why. And then watched some good, worthy videos in YouTube, make a list of dates to be used in the second manuscript, and laid on the bed for half an hour before going for the breakfast. Meanwhile, I called dad. Of course, he didn’t have any reason to get happy to listen to the results.

Thank god we don’t have any neighbor called Sharma, otherwise, he’d have said "SHARMAJI KE BETE KO TO ITNE MARKS AAYE, TUMHE ITNE KUM KYUN? It was Pineapple Halwa, Idli and Poha in the breakfast, I ate Halwa and Idli, and then came to the room, to get into the chair, and start writing the first letter of the book. Now, I have made a point to write 1000 words daily, no matter what! I wrote it down, and read some answers on Quora, just to get back to the book and read it for a while before sleeping and dreaming strange things.

I felt exhausted, got fresh and read the book for an hour. And came to the mess for lunch. After this, I came to the room, got into the chair and continued reading next 90 min. I’m waiting for Laddu, Gund k Laddu. Of course, I cannot miss sleeping time, and I did sleep for an hour. I woke up at 4:30, got fresh, checked my mobile. Manish has bought a Dell (company) laptop, and an Oppo phone for mom. I knew mom won’t like it, but then I cannot say anything else. I did exercise, and took a bath, got ready and was reading through before going for ramp walk practice, and then finally, again reading. At around 8, I got ready for the ramp walk, came down for dinner, and after dinner, went to the ground where everything was going on. So, we did ramp walk. Just a matter of minute, and then came to the room, just to get fresh, wear nightwear and learn a few Spanish (language) lessons and write a post here.
