There is NOT one place in the new covenant that says we are to wait for the Holy Spirit to show up, there is NOT one place that directs the new covenant church to beg and plead in prayer meetings for God to forgive us and to beg for Him to pour out His spirit once again. That is fleshly, it is carnal and it's not God.Jesus said ASK and I WILL, ask and your FATHER WILL do because He loves you. He never once said beg me.can just see the Holy Spirit standing there in the room with all the christian's begging and crying out to God to pour out His Spirit and to please oh please forgive us...
He must be thinking to Himself... Hmmm I really wish they would get up and acknowledge the Blood that cleansed them once and for all, take it and actually acknowledge me in them and recognize, I am right there... I mean geesh, didn't Jesus say he would pour me out on them and I would be here to stay with them forever? I am pretty sure I came on the day of Pentecost and as far as I can recall, I haven't left. Sure be nice if they would get off their groveling face and lift their hands and thank Jesus for sending me and acknowledge my presence already with and in them.. Gee, I sure would like that so I can manifest myself to them and through them in their praise and thanksgiving for what Jesus already did. I would love to show the beloved children of God that they are accepted, forgiven and loved but man.. geesh, I can't do a thing with them begging like worms for something already given them, the world needs them to go out and tell them about Jesus but I can't work through them when they don't even know I'm right here. It's so strange..There has never been a manifestation like that. Ever. Yes, we do repent of our sins and yes we do wait before the Lord but it's not to get the Holy Spirit to come. He is already here. It is not to get more mercy, He said he gives you new mercy everyday and it endures forever. He said in 1 John 1:9 that if you confess your sins and ask for forgiveness he WILL forgive you and cleanse you from all un-rightness. It's a done deal. I think the Blood of Jesus is powerful enough to have cleansed you of it once and for all so take it and get up.
