In these times of water shortage, guess what's that one thing that beauty-conscious women are swearing by?youtube.com Well, it's water (of course!) made up of micelles - which are tiny balls of oil molecules floating in the water. It is believed that micelles attract dirt and oil and so, they can draw these out of the skin while keeping the skin soft and hydrated.youtube.com It's become so popular that all leading brands now sell micellar water, which can be used whether you're vacationing, camping, travelling on work or even wanting to go from office straight to a party for the night! And it doesn't matter what your skin type is, this gentle water will do it! So, how to use it? Take a soft cotton pad or ball, pour a few drops on micellar water on it, and gently, in a circular motion, apply it all over the face. This method works whether you want to remove makeup, apply it as a moisturiser, or just spritz up your face. Note: Micellar water might not remove waterproof mascara and heavy base and foundation. So, you might need to use a traditional face wash to remove these, and then, dab on micellar water as a moisturiser.youtube.com And for those prone with severe acne - alternating washing of face with regular/prescribed face wash or soap, with a round of micellar water cleansing.

I had a look and Bioderma do claim that the Cicabio one is non comodegenic. Don't see a claim on YesStyle for the Hada Labo one. Out of the others I've tested, have a look at the company websites and you'll probably find it if it's there. By the way, it's my understanding that the "non-comodegenic" claim is not actually regulated. I believe companies can just decide to say their product is non-comodegenic and no-one's there to test this. I'd hope that if they claim it however, there's more hope that it rings true. I'd probably recommend doing a little research though and getting familiar with products what ingredients are known to block pores so that you know to avoid them!

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It’s something we all do, in the morning and at night - wash our faces. Feeling fresh often begins with a clean face. Women often wash their faces to remove makeup and before applying sunscreen or moisturizer. Dr. Obagi says how you wash your face is equally as important as what you use to cleanse it. With so many products on the market, how does one choose? "For most patients, anything that foams up on the skin is a good cleanser," said Dr. Obagi. A product becoming more popular is Micellar water. It’s often advertised to remove makeup, clean and moisturize, all in one step.

"Micelles in general are things that we know about from chemistry. These are little round balls of oils, or lipids, so if you take that Micellar water and drop it in a cup water, you’ll see the little oil droplets form on top," Dr. Obagi said. Dr. Obagi says the micelles, or oil droplets suspended in water, attract makeup and dirt on the face. KDKA asked Dana, a busy mom of two, to try Micellar water.youtube.com "I can see right now that it’s taking some of my makeup off," she said, looking at the makeup residue on a cotton ball.

Could Micellar water be a replacement for your daily facial cleanser?youtube.com "No, because what the Micellar water is doing, it’s binding everything it can bind that will hold on to oil, "Dr. "It just cleaned my skin and left it feeling soft, and moisturized. It feels moisturized," said Dana. The oil that Micellar water leaves behind, said Dr.youtube.com Obagi, can block other products, like anti-aging creams, from penetrating the skin. "If you start wiping your skin with the Micellar water for example, and it leaves that oil sheen on the surface, you’re going to have trouble with that skin care regimen penetrating the way we want," Dr. Obagi said.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Yield Growth Corp. Urban Juve Micellar Water, a new, gentle facial cleanser, which is in the final testing phase before launch. Traditional soap cleansers work by creating a lather that can strip the skin and leave a harsh residue that irritates dry, sensitive skin. Micelles attach to and dissolve dirt, grime and makeup, while protecting the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Micellar water has become a favourite of professional makeup artists because it can gently remove makeup without leaving harsh or oily residues common with other makeup removers.

The new product is formulated with witch hazel, and contains Urban Juve’s proprietary hemp root oil, which contributes to overall skin health through an array of anti-aging compounds.youtube.com It is alcohol free with a physiological PH and a soap-free base that makes it great for all skin types.youtube.com "We created Urban Juve Micellar Water to be extra gentle, making it suitable for all skin types," explains Bhavna Solecki, Director of Product & Content at Urban Juve. We received this in our January 2016 Lust Have It Women's Boxes (reviewed here). I've only ever tried the fabled Bioderma Micellar Water before and I don't love that because it doesn't do anything for me in terms of makeup removal, but this does and I would definitely [http://bit.ly/2X2IKw1 Buy Bioderma products online] it. It was love at first use with this product and I look forward to using it every evening as the first step in my skincare routine. It has a light, fresh scent that's not strong so you might be ok with it if you don't like fragranced products. Yes it's a water but it's a touch thicker than water in texture - almost like a water/gel hybrid.

I've had a look at the ingredients list and glycerin is the second-named item, which might explain why it's a little thicker than water and why it leaves your skin looking brighter after use. I apply a good amount to a cotton pad and use both sides to run over my face and remove makeup. I don't know why, but hardly any products remove my mascara - even ones that work for many other people - and I always need warm water and a good cleanser for that job. On the product claims: yes it's refreshing and it leaves your skin feeling soft and clean; yes it removes impurities and clarifies the skin; and yes it leaves skin feeling supple and hydrated. It's a product I don't want to finish because it just works and does so with a minimum of fuss. In sum, a big thumbs up from me. After using the Bioderma Micellar Water and failing to see the fuss, I didn't think a micellar product could win me over - but this one has.

April is Rosacea Awareness Month. Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that tends to affect the face and can worsen with time if left untreated. It is often mistaken for acne, eczema, or a skin allergy and is common among fair-skinned people, although the causes are not fully understood and there is no cure, there are a number of ways to relieve symptoms. I have suffered from this for many years, I do struggle with the blushing side of it as people tend to poke fun at it, then resulting in you blushing further. Bioderma Sensibio AR cream aims to directly act on the sources of redness and irritation and protect and prevent visible red vessels.

Using soothing agents, enoxolone and canola, it works to combat rosacea and provide relief of the symptoms. Sensibio AR reduces the ‘overheated’ feeling experienced in skin that is prone to redness. The cream also works over time to combat the formation and aggravation of diffuse redness with a long-lasting effect. You apply the cream twice a day to skin that has been cleansed, it also moisturises and can be used as make-up base, so a worth while buy. Having only used it for a short time I have noticed a difference to my skin, the redness is not as prominent, and I will be investing in some more to see the lasting effects. Bioderma's Rosactic cream is available priced £16 from Look Fantastic, Feel Unique and Escentual. Since the Pam Am games were hosted here in Toronto and launch parties for fall beauty collections are underway I have been outdoors a lot this summer. From press events, sporting matches, concerts by the lake and cultural shows around town my days have been busy and filled with fun in the sun. To keep my skin healthy while I enjoy the weather The Photoderm SPF 40 sunscreen protects and shields from sunburn and harmful ultraviolet rays. Usually I don’t like sunscreen as many of them irritate my skin but this formula does not clog pores and I like that it has a spray nozzle to direct the product exactly where I need it most. The consistency is a rich cream that absorbs quite quickly with no thick, sticky residue or greasy white film.

I also like that I don’t have to use a body cream with this product because it provides a hydrating layer of moisture to quench dry skin. If you do forget the sunscreen and you spend a little too much time roasting in the midday heat the refreshing After-Sun Milk enriched with emollients soothes and helps relieve congestion. It also prevents premature aging and is suitable for sensitive skin. Although I do like the calming relief it provides I don’t particularly like that it prolongs natural tanning as I usually avoid this in order to make sure my foundation matches my skin throughout the season.

The milk is moisturizing and free of parabens and if you do want to maintain your golden glow then this is a great product to use as fall approaches. Bioderma is a fantastic brand for sensitive skin and the Cicabio Soothing Repairing Cream is no exception. This is another fabulous product if heat, sun and humidity causes irritation and the gentle formula is safe for both adults and babies. The antibacterial agents and active ingredients help relieve discomfort, dryness, redness, peeling and minor skin damage while reducing the urge to scratch. Hyaluronic acid provides much needed moisture for optimal comfort and it can be applied on the face and the body.
