Sinespace now has the ability to work with VR headsets! At the moment, the headsets compatible are:
To enable the headsets to work with Sinespace, you need to follow these steps to get it set up correctly. Please note that text chat will not work while in VR mode for the time being.
1. Download our | VR client from our website.
2. Make sure you have SteamVR running. This will allow the VR to work in Sinespace. If you are using an Oculus Rift, you will need to change the settings to allow for use in other applications in the Oculus application.
3. Have VR mode enabled in Sinespace. This can be enabled from the settings in Sinespace on the log in page.
Click on the blue cog to open the settings, then click on Enable OpenVR. You will need to exit the client and restart after enabling.
4. You may also need to enable the Vivox voice via the settings, so you can chat with other users in world via voice. We are working on adding IMs to VR mode.
Once these steps are done, you are able to use Sinespace in VR mode. To open the main UI whilst in VR mode, use Application Mode on the Vive headset, B or Y whilst using a Rift and on a WMR, the control will vary.
To move in VR mode, on a Vive use D pad up, on a Rift use A or X and on a WMR use Button A.
